How to apply security across the entire development pipeline

We’ve all heard of the DevSecOps and ‘shift left’ buzz that is often presented as go-to solutions that will better secure applications and nurture security awareness within your team. But once we’re told this is the future, how do we go about putting this into practice in a way that the whole team will adopt? What are the key values and principles that Developers and DevOps engineers expect?

In this webinar, Simon Maple (Snyk) and Nicolas Bontoux (SonarSource) will share their joint experience empowering development teams with security tools, technologies, and values. The Software Composition Analysis (SCA) and Static Application Security Testing (SAST) approaches differ, however, both focus on developer value and workflow integration. As Simon and Nicolas openly share and discuss these values, tune in to understand how security awareness can be implemented within the code review process, enabling development teams to truly own the security of their applications.

Who is this intended for? Developers & Security and DevOps Professionals

From Cisco Systems to SonarSource, Nicolas always wanted to ‘give a hand.’ It started with setting up cool and useful CI tools for his colleagues, then helping build products that are easy to integrate, and that above all making users happy. That’s how he ended up doing technical support at SonarSource, and ultimately joined the Product Marketing Team in order to exchange about code quality and security with the overall development community.
